Request for Candidates and/or Volunteers for the Non-Custodial Parents Party (Equal Parenting).
The forthcoming Federal Election will be held on Saturday, 14 September 2013. The Federal Election is one of the few avenues where we can show the major political parties that family law issues are important.
Would you consider running as a candidate for the Non-Custodial Parents Party (Equal Parenting)? (Note: You would need to be an Australian citizen).
Give out “how-to-vote” cards on the day of the Federal Election.
Our target is to run, at least, two (2) candidates for the Senate in the each of the six (6) States and the two (2) Territories. We also aim to run candidates for the House of Representatives.
We have had a good response to our previous request for donations.
However, if you wish to run as a candidate, we would have to ask you to pay your own candidate deposit ($2,000.00 for the Senate and $1,000.00 for the House of Representatives). We may be able to help out with printing costs.
The time and date for the AEC close of nominations is 12 Noon Thursday 22 August 2013. (Note: Prior to this date, AEC nomination paperwork would have to be signed, by either the Party’s Registered Officer or the Deputy Registered Officer).
The NCPP(EP) web-site links can be found at:http://www.equalparenting.org.au/
These links include details on candidates, party history, preferences, policies, etc
While the chance of one of our candidates being elected is very remote, candidate costs are tax deductible.
